Plastic cups stand out as a major contributor to global pollution, and regrettably, the yearly influx into landfill sites continues to escalate.

Remarkably, the Pacific Ocean harbours a plastic garbage patch equivalent in size to Wales. Additionally, the unnecessary waste of food and drink products dumped into landfills mirrors the volume needed to fill 8,400 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Regular plastic takes thousands of years to decompose. Even biodegradable plastic, when compacted tightly, fails to encounter sufficient air and water for proper degradation.

At Branded Cups, we advocate a straightforward solution: embracing reusable cups instead of disposable ones at every event. Currently, our European neighbours, as well as America and Australia, take the lead in recycling attitudes. Although it encouraging to see that the UK and Ireland are catching up, there is still work to be done.
